Taking advantage of anything that is “free”

I learned early in the game that you have to take advantage of anything that is “free.” In the beginning I was overwhelmed with people offering “free” items. I didn’t know where to begin because everywhere I turned there was an offer. Looking back on it, I wish I had followed up on every phone call and responded to anyone that wanted to give me something. However, after a while I began feeling like people just wanted to give away their junk. While this was not the case, I started to feel like it.
